English Study Centre’s participation at the
First District Educational Fair in Limassol, 2011-06-08
ESC participated in the First District Educational Fair that was held at My Mall in Limassol on 13, 14, and 15th May 2011.
Our institute had the opportunity to display and promote the various programmes that we offer to the public. These range from
pre-Junior classes starting from the age of 4 years old to GCE “A” level in 5 subjects. In addition to these, English Study Centre
also offer Academic and Professional programmes specially designed to suit the needs of the working public. This year we began our
cooperation with the Human Resources and Development Authority of Cyprus who approved 3 new professional courses designed by
English Study Centre of 30 to 40-hour duration each: Business English for Private Commercial Companies; Business Communication
Skills for the Services Industry; Shipping English for Managers.
These very popular courses, which commenced in February this year and subsidised by the HRDA, were run at the school for the first time.
Most of the attendees came from small private commercial companies with the purpose of improving their English for professional
development.
Consequently, a large number of adults at the Educational Fair who stopped at our display stand were very pleased to learn about the
English language subsidised programmes and expressed sincere interest in attending these programmes the next semester.
The First District Educational Fair was opened by the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Andreas Christou who gave his strong support and expressed
his appreciation to the organisers of the event, stressing the need for the various educational institutions to continue their good work
in providing quality education to children as well as giving opportunities to adults who wish to further their education.
