English Study Centre, founded in 1983 by Krini Askanis, is a highly reputable and well-established English Language learning institute in Cyprus. The school is renowned for its quality teaching and the wide variety of courses it offers to small groups of adults.
Furthermore, the school is known for its flexibility and creativity in designing and teaching specialised "niche courses". The school prides itself in being one of the most professional on the island offering a high level of customer service.
Our language course packages include 3 hours of classes Monday - Friday, taught in small groups by our qualified and experienced teachers; course materials; airport transfers; daily hotel - school transfer; certificate of attendance; and two local tours.
We offer English for agro tourists (focus on culture, art, history and tradition), English for carers, English for the sports and fitness industry, English for the hospitality industry, Business English, General English and IELTS (International English Language Testing Systems) preparation courses
The cost of a 15-hour programme is 350 Euros, the cost of a 30-hour programme is 600 Euros. Accommodation varies between 43 and 176 Euros per night depending on the option chosen.
The Director - Krini Askanis is originally from Britain and has been teaching English since 1970. In Athens, where she taught for a number of years at a well known private high school, and designed EFL courses for in-company programmes, she was awarded the DELTA diploma (Diploma of English Language Teaching for Adults). Her high level of training and her extensive teaching experience have enabled her to enjoy a long-standing reputation in the field.
The Marketing and Sales Manager - Mary Anglberger is originally from Austria but has been teaching English while traveling the world since 1995. She is fluent in English, French and German and has also worked in the fields of tourism/hospitality and international school administration. Currently she is teaching in Latvia but has decided to move to Cyprus to work with the Director of English Study Centre to promote this unique way of language learning.
Accommodation will be booked directly by the student. However, Language Conquest has negotiated special rates and is in close collaboration with a self-catering apartment hotel, a three-star hotel, a five-star hotel and a traditional Cypriot house in a nearby village.
